Dorothea- I find it very boring and dated though I like Thea as a nick name.
April- Just no! Again seems very dated and boring.
Isadora- I like it but I don't think it would work where I live. I don't like any
Eden- Not fond of it.
Norah- I really like it and would consider using it.I dislike all the male names.
Everett
Cyrus
Arthur
Barnabas

Dorothea - I think it sounds a bit old fashioned because it is so similar to Dora and Dorothy. Having said that, I do like the sound and Thea is a nice nickname.
April - This is cute and I like it a lot!
Isadora - Like it
Eden - I'm not keen on unisex names (which this seems to have become). Eden seems a bit bland to me.
Norah - Love it, girly and sweet but not too cutesyEverett - I like this
Cyrus - A bit "red necky" and I don't think the y in there looks right
Arthur - Love it!
Barnabas - Would probably be shortened to Barney which is still too associated with purple dinosaurs for meNorah and Arthur :)

Dorothea is good. Nicer than Dorothy. I was at school with a Dorothea who was never known as anything else - very pleasant person.Norah is interesting because it looks better with its totally unnecessary -h than without! Imagine Dorah or Laurah, for instance. But Norah is good and usable.Arthur is OK if a bit ambitious; it doesn't' shorten to Art where I live, which is good. And I find Barnabas clumsy and dusty, but I really enjoy Barnaby.

I love Dorothea and Isadora! I would definitely use Dorothea if I didn't love Theodore so much.Everett is one of those names I likely wouldn't use, but love seeing on other people's lists. Definitely add Arthur as well. I like Cyrus, but it reminds me too much of a certain celebrity. I prefer Barnaby to Barnabas.

Dorothea is nms, but isn't a horrible name. April is a name I used to like as a child, but it lost favour with me over time. I still think it has a pretty sound and certainly wouldn't mind meeting a little girl with this name.Isadora is not a name I would use and I don't really like it tbh.Eden I LOVE! This name has been a fave of mine since I was a child and with each pregnancy this name has been on our list for a girl. It's one name both DH and I love and always seem to go back to! When considering names we have liked other combos not containing this name, but I think if we were ever blessed with a girl this would probably be either her fn or mn. More likely to be the mn, as it would fit with her big brothers mns. Norah is alright, though I don't love it.Everett, while having a trendy surname vibe, is alright. I wouldn't use it, but I don't hate it.Cyrus I dislike immensely! I don't find the sound or look appealing in any way.Arthur is old and frumpy. I love a lot of older names, but this isn't one of them.Barnabas is awesome! It's so unusual and certainly not something you hear often or at all, well not in Australia anyway! I love Barnaby too.

Dorothea - I'd say add Dorothy. Or Theodora. Dorothea is kinda hard for me to say.April - retro and I don't like the sound enough to favorite it, but it's a cool name.Isadora - *sigh* I know everyone thinks Isadora is a prettier spelling, but the name means "gift of Isis" and is spelled Isidora. "Isadora" is like Dametria or Nichalas - only more "sad." Add Isidora though - it's a beautiful name.Eden - this name feels very "strange" to me, not exotic but sort of aloof and mysterious and wise. I like it.Norah - I only like it with no H on the end. It's not a favorite because I get "negative" associations from the "no / nor" part ... I don't notice it on other people's kids, but I would if I called my own kid Nora.Everett - this is nice. Kind of holds the same style-place as Brett once did. Spiffy, but down to earth, not too preppy.Cyrus - love it. It's not a surname to me, and doesn't remind me of any pop stars. I know a Cyrus who's about 12 now. Easy name to say, and sounds nice and classic, grows up well.Arthur - I find Arthur to be very ugly and prim.Barnabas - I hate this name and would feel a little bad for any guy stuck with it.

Dorothea: Not my style, but it is vry interesting and dark in a good way. I have no idea why, but it made me think of a turtoise. Now I'm left wondering if I ever met someone with a pet tortoise named Dorothea. Most probably I've read a story as a kid with such character, or something like that.
April: Nice enough.
Isadora: I get a vibe similar to the Dorothea one. Mysterious and beautifully dark. They would make a good sibset.
Eden: Sounds bratty, not my style.
Norah: I used to think it was old-ladyish. But it's grown on me in the last few years. I think it's cute.Everett: Not my style, don't really like the sound.
Cyrus: I prefer Ciro. Someone else mentioned this name today and Miley and her dad were on my mind when I read it here. Maybe some other day I would like it more.
Arthur: I've heard a lot of people talk about this one lately. I don't really like it but it would be a nice, unexpected choice for a modern child.
Barnabas: Not my style. I like Bernabe better.

Dorothea - Dora or Thea as nicknames? Winner. It's a sweet name without being too showy.April - I personally dislike it, it seems low rent but that's my associations with the name.Isadora - Meh. I sort of think Isidora is nicer.Eden - I like it but then again, not so much. I think it'd make a great middle name.Norah - Adorable. Sweet, simple, pretty much perfect. The only problem I ever see crop up with Norah is whether or not to keep the H.Everett - Love it.Cyrus - I always think Osiris when I say Cyrus. I really like it.Arthur - Meh. I was into it for a while but then I heard too many people call a kid at K's school 'author' instead. Barnabas - I'm not really into Barney as a nickname and I can't think of any others for Barnabas at the moment. That's the only downside I can see. It's pretty cool.
