Robbartt & Odd Names from Ancestry
Someone in my family has recently been investigating the small amount of Irish blood we have, and the even smaller amount of English, which has lead to the findings of several interesting names. There have been quite a few Roberts and Sarahs, and one Robbartt born in the 1600s.Robbartt could be a strange misspelled admission to the individual's documents, which is not unheard of from so long ago, but it is quite intriguing nonetheless. If I had seen Robbartt in a birth announcement from today, I would simply have thought of it as a creative spelling, or by more of a stretch belonging to Frisian origin (similar to Lubbert). What do you think about Robbartt? Do you have any unusual or fantastical names from your own lineage?
