How is Emmeline pronounced? If it's -line, I don't like the repeated long "i" vowel, and if it's -leen, I don't like that pronunciation of Emmeline. I give the combo a B-I am not too keen on most combos where two names begin with a different vowel. I don't mind if they begin with the same vowel (Ivy Isabel, Elizabeth Eugenie, Alice Amelia), but different vowels does usually displease me.

It's a long "I". The double vowel combo caught me off guard at first too, but I was glad that the first name didn't end in the same vowel as the middle name started. Isla seems to be catching on around NY though.

Love Emmeline, not a big fan of Isla. But it's a nice combo.

I think it's really cute, almost overly so

Eh, it kind of runs together for me "I lemoline" --> a limo lineThe names are too similar for one combo IMO- they'd sound great as sisters

I like it, it's really pretty.

Boring. I literally know a dozen babies named Isla, it's insanely popular here. Emmeline is a bit more interesting..

The combo is too vowel-heavy, and Isla is insubstantial. But it's not butt-ugly or anything.

Individually, each name is perfectly fine, however, I don't care for the repeated long i sound of Isla Emmeline. In today's naming climate, it could be much, much worse so it's all good.

Noooo the infection is spreading! I think every second kid here is called Isla. I hate it. Emmeline is okay. Together they sound like a tiny islet in a remote oceanic region, which is where I wish this name would go.

Now that I know Emmeline is pronounced Emma-LINE (and not "leen"), I like the combo a lot less. Isla Emmeline trips over itself with all the Ls and long Is.
