Re: FIRST IMPRESSIONS??? HELP WITH BOY NAME!!
in reply to a message by NOM
Peyton - means "paega's town", not "noble". Doesn't flow well with Thomas and is a town, not a person. "Pay more" is potential teasing too.Reagan - means "impulsive", not "Ruler". President Reagan is an association for the name, but it doesn't make the meaning "president". The president is the first thing i think of. This would be a good choice if you're a Republican.Anderson - a supermarket chain, and very surnamey. So surnamey that people could get his first and last names reversed.McCoy – means "son of the firey one", not "Genuine". First thing i think of is Star Trek. Mc- names are surnames not first names. Subject to the same confusion as Anderson. Geeky and weird. Plus it doesn't flow well with your last name.Bennett - Great choice. Flows well and is a strong name.Coleman - first thing i think of is the camping gear company. But not a bad name otherwise. Not the best flow with the last name. "man-mor": lots of m's. Technically the meaning is "little dove", but that's ok.First choice would be Bennett. Reagan second choice, and Coleman third. You might want to rethink posting your surname, and future son's full name, on the internet. It will be searchable and easily found with Google years from now, when your son might not want his name all over baby name sites. And posts here get archived and unable to be edited after a while. We don't need to know your surname.
