Olivia
Apart from the fact that this is crazy common, what do you think of Olivia? I really love Livvy. Do you like Liv or Livia better as the full name? I'm lucky to live in a country where it isn't so common (it is close to the top 100 but not in it). Liv, Livia or Olivia?

I love Olivia. I think Livvy works best as a nickname for it, and I don't see Liv as a full name. Livia just feels like it's missing something to me.

I like Olivia a lot; probably not enough to use because of its popularity though, like you, where I live there aren't so many. And it's a family name, used on a relative back before the First World War when it must have been very exotic. Too exotic for the relative, who went down-market with a thud and called herself Olive, with nn Ollie. I wouldn't use Liv or Livia as full names: Liv because I always assume it's Scandinavian and Livia because of one of the toughest and most sinister characters in all of ancient history. Livvy is cute, but apart from Olivia/Olive, all the Olivias I've known have used the full form.

I adore Olivia as a name, Livvy is a sweet diminutive of it on a younger girl.Don't like Liv or Livia as a full name, prefer Olivia

I love Olivia, and Livvy is adorable. Livia is also nice. Liv just doesn't seem like a full name to me, even though I know it's legit (I like it as a nickname, though).Olivia > Livia >>>> Liv

I still love it, even if it's crazy popular. I know many, but I still find it beautiful. I prefer just Olivia, not a fan of Livia or Liv.

I like it. Not the way I like a name I would use for my own child, but as a name for women it is nice.I also like Liv and Livia. Livia is more a name I might use. I hate Livvy though. It seems too cute, like Lexy, and it makes me think of liver.

I like Livia better than Olivia. I have trouble getting past the fact that in Italy Olivia is what the character of Olive Oyl is named.

I love Olivia, but I don't like Liv for the nickname; Livvy is much better!

I'm not a fan of Olivia (though I like Olive a lot). Liv just seems incomplete to me. I do like Livia better than Olivia, but not much. :( Livvy is a cute nn, though.

I sort of like it, but it has a slithery, slippery, nylon-y sound that I don't like at all. I think Livia sounds even slitherier.

I love Olivia and if it weren`t so popular where I live, I`d use it. I like Livvy as a nickname. I would not use either Liv or Livvy on their own.

It's classic, versatile and appealing and it's easy to see why it is so popular. It has a combination of letters and sounds that is rarely found in other names, despite the popularity of the name itself. Having said that, I would prefer Liv as a full name.
