Did it bother you if you couldn't get things with your name on growing up?

Hi, I don't know if this is okay to ask here. Since I don't have an account yet, I couldn't log into the lounge, but it is a name related question.

Growing up I hardly ever had anything with my name on it. I often felt a bit left out by that.I just wondered if others felt the same way, and whether that makes you more likely or less likely to give your child a name that is more common?

Again, sorry if I am breaking any of the rules in posting this here.
