A girl named Navy.
I came across this today in the local-ish newspaper. This is a young woman of university age, has just one a good scholarship.
I don't know is her name refers to the colour navy, or the maritime branch of the military.
I don't dislike it.

It might be pronounced Nah-Vee; I have seen that occasionally, on Hispanic people. Also Navi.
Ah, maybe.
I do know she speaks French well, and Nah-Vee would be how it would sound in French.

Presumably short for Navidad
Makes more sense than naming a child after a branch of the military!!

In times when you can call Sailor, Navy appears only as the logical consequence.
I'm not a fan, but it seems to me to be quite acceptable.

Not a fan of names that can also be adjectives. It makes it sound like the first name is describing their surname or middle name.
Reminds me of that picture that was going around a while ago with a pregnant generic white girl holding up a list of ridiculous white names and one of them was "Nayvie"

Hi !!!
I like it!
It is interesting on a girl!
I like that colour very much and the link with military is ok.
I prefer to see a Navy than a generic boy named Marshall.
Navy seems spunky and more refined because of the colour.

The sound is ok, but it seems like she should have siblings named Army and Air Force...
I think it sounds awful as a name.
I've seen it on a couple of celebrities' kids. I think I've tossed it around in my head before myself. I don't hate it as long as they spell it Navy...I've seen some other spellings and they weren't great.
