I love Jack, mostly because of my great-uncle, though he was John William, nn Jack. Most Jacks were nned, back in the day.

So if I wanted a Jack son I'd name him John rather than Jack or, indeed, Jackson. And I might well. It's a cheerful, down to earth name with glitter and pizazz as well.
