I really don't care for the association with prostitution, but mostly I don't like the sound of it. I also feel that it will not age well, given its huge popularity in the last decade or so. Not a fan.ETA - from the UK where it's been very popular fr a long time. I see it's newly popular in France, and I think the French pronunciation is much more attractive

I like it. I think it sounds crisp and smart. Not classic, but not trashy, either.

I've always liked it actually. It is a little dated, but being a gemstone name, it will never be unusable imo. My SIL's mn is Jade, so I would never use it and should she and my brother have a DD in the future, she wants to give her the mn Jade like her.

It may be a tad dated, but I like it. The one I knew was smart, athletic, pretty, and a nice person; she gave me a positive association for the name. Another that comes to mind is Jade Chynoweth, the dancer.

Sounds like Jane with a very bad cold. And, the only Jade I've ever known well was a Greek boy (huge, tough, field athletics; grew up to be an auctioneer) with a sister named Amber!

It’s a bit of a GP for me. It is a little dated and trashy, but something draws me to it.

Makes me think of the stone. I like it, it’s cool.

It's OK, but not one of my favorite gem names. It's a bit harsh. Jadie is a rather cute nn, though.
In Torey Hayden's Ghost Child there are three sisters called Jade ("Jadie"), Amber and Sapphire.

Yep: dated, trendy, wordy. I’m just not a fan at all.
