Catherine! My all time favorite is Cateline, however.

Catherine! I like Kathleen but Cathleen looks strange to me.

Neither are my favorite form, (its Jekaterina / Ekaterina / Yekaterina) but Cathleen. Its not as common and sounds prettier.

I really like Cathleen. It’s less common and has a more thought-out feel. The nicknames would be the same as for Catherine (Cate, Cathy, etc.).

Catherine. I always thought Cathleen / Kathleen was super ugly.

Oh, definitely Cathleen! (But with a k; somehow Cathleen doesn't look quite right.)

Catherine. Cathleen and Kathleen seem to me to be poor substitutes, used in the mid twentieth century by people who liked Cathy (and Kathy) but were too blind to see the timeless beauty of Catherine (or Katherine).
