McCallum
I know someone that had a baby and named him McCallum! I know no one will like it here. Thoughts though?

I think it’s fine. No different than any other Mc name or surname. It has a kick.
If you “know” what people will think, though, why are you asking?

I don't understand the whole Mc- trend... Callum is fine on its own, why add a prefix?
Family surname, maybe.
I'm the opposite. I don't like Callum, and I think the Mc- adds a little something that makes it better. I actually like a few Mc- names, though.
I actually kind of hate Callum, the Mc really does make it better!
Right? It makes it "brighter", or something. I don't know how to explain it, lol.
So, count me as someone who likes McCallum. :)

I think adding that extra syllable, with two quite hard consonants, makes it punchier. It adds a rhythm to it as well... maybe?
I also knew a McAlistair and also thought that was punchy.

McAlistair is nice. I approve.
Much brighter than Alistair :)
I'm with you. I think it sounds silly
I think it's fine. Cal would be a cute NN.
I love Callum. Putting Mc in front of it is ridiculous and unnecessary.
Mc- has always sounded like 'muck' to me, so I'm not a fan. I don't really like the two Cs or two capital letters either.
Meh. Just another random surname.
I kind of like Callum but the Mc reminds me of McDonalds...
Don't care for "Mc" names and "Callum" isn't attractive to me anyway.
Callum is okay, but the Mc part really doesn’t make sense to me.
Yeah, I'm one of those who doesn't like it. ;) Nothing wrong with Callum; it's just the unnecessary Mc part. I have the same problem with McKayla...ugh!
Callum by itself is a name - I wonder why they didn't just go with that instead.
