I've encountered it in fiction as a French nn for Jeanne-Marie, but never IRL where I live. I find it babyish and silly on a girl - in fact, on anyone if used as an independent name. James, nn Jamie is fine, though not for a girl.

I know a few men named Jeanne-Marie, older men , though, no-one under age 65.Never nick-named, though, always the full name.
