Clemence
What are your thoughts on the English Clemence and French Clémence?

I prefer the English Clement and the French Clément. Clemence reminds me to much of begging for clemency during a court case. Clement has the same meaning but is a little less strongly associated with the word.

I dislike Clemence. Clémence is fine in French, or in a place where French is familiar, but not where I live. And anyway, I really like Clemency a lot, so I'd go that route if at all.

They're alright. I had to click the links to figure out the gender though-- for some reason I thought Clemence was unisex and Clémence was male, but they're both female. They sound okay in full and it has a good meaning, but Clem sounds silly to me for some reason.

Hi Perrine !!!Clemence? Uhm...
I much prefer Clarence as English masculine name and Clémentine as French feminine form.I rate Clemence 4/10: I dislike It but not for a specific reason. I Simply prefer other names with a similar sound. What about you instead? Why are you interested in it?ETA but how is Clémence read in French?
I Just realized that I have a link with the feminine form. The beautiful actress Who played Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter saga! Now that I have a link and a portrait in my mind so the French form is not so bad..
