Millicent
WDYT? I didn’t used to like this name, but it is suddenly really nice. I like the nn Millie, too.“For once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward; for there you have been and there you will long to return.” - Leonardo da Vinci

I like it for its history, meaning and sturdy sound: it's very crisp and no-nonsense. I also like the distinctive look of it. It must be fairly rare, as I've never met one, although I've known multiple Millys (Amelia, Camilla and Sharmila)

I'm not wild about it. I don't like the hiss that the 'c' makes in the middle of the name.I don't really like any long forms of "Millie" - maybe because I spent my life saying, "no, my name isn't Amelia / Camille / Millicent / Mildred / Emilie -- it's JUST MILLIE!"My little sister used to call me this jokingly, she's Ellie but we went through a stage of elongating our names since the names we were given were already nicknames.Sometimes I wish(ed) I had a long more formal name on my birth certificate but now I'm in my 20s and I can look back and say that I didn't achieve anything less or more because of my name. I got complimented on it a lot when I was younger.

Hi Morgan !!!I quite like Millicent but I prefer Mélisande. Melicent is interesting too.
I like Millicent because of its 'traditional/evergreen' vibe despite being rare. Millie is a sweet NN.

I love this - especially the French Mélisande' & more Germanic Amalasuintha - check the BtN site's name history board.
