Friend just had twin girls named....
Church member's daughter just welcomed twin girls named Scarlett Marilyn and Everleigh Lora. The middle names are after the grandmothers.

I'd like them more if Marilyn and Lora were the first names. I don't like Leigh in names in general, and I don't love the Scar part of Scarlett.

Scarlett Marilyn sounds nice and practical enough. The same doesn't exactly apply to 'Everleigh Lora' and I dislike the spelling. 'Everly' would have looked significantly better imo. -leigh spellings look horrendous. A naming trend I fail to see the beauty of.

Scarlett Marilyn sounds so in-your-face trying to be vintage sexy, it's gross. Like a retro celeb-themed lipstick color.
Everleigh feels lame. Laura is so nice.

Everleigh sounds like a torch battery. Lora cheapens Laura, and Marilyn is very dated, but if they're family names then I guess there's no argument. Scarlett just doesn't appeal to me at all. GWTW or not, it starts with a scar and has the whiff of olde-tyme promiscuity - when last was anyone described as a scarlet woman? And yet the phrase lives on.Report-card comment: Can do better.

Scarlett is nice. Marilyn seems dated, but that makes sense in this case. I love honouring names :) Everleigh is not my thing. I wouldn't spell it like that and it doesn't match Scarlett. Even just Ever would have been better in this case. Congrats to your friend :)

Scarlett great, Everleigh horrible, but how cool that they gave both grandmothers' names as honoring middles.
