I like Vanessa least because to me it comes off snobby, like it's trying hard to sound eleglamfisticated. Vainness-a.
I want to like Veronica. I think it's a neat name objectively. But, RON. I don't like the sound of it in my accent. And I think it's just somehow emotionally contaminated for me, by early exposure to Archie comics.
Valerie is dated, so 1970s. I now think Valeria is much cooler. I had Valerie on a list, way back when, but when I was having a girl I lost interest in it. It just seems a little brassy.
Still and all, I'd rather call my kid (or be) Valerie, than VRAWnuhkuh or Vainnessa any day. So Valerie it is.
