I like it equally on either gender. I'm not sure it's ready for a comeback yet. It feels upbeat on a female and tweedy on a male. I could see it on a little hipster boy I guess. Ha

I think it's really dowdy.

It's okay, though a bit dated. I prefer it on a boy.

Hi !!!I like it for any gender.I really like the nature-theme meaning but also the soft sound. As a masculine name I compare it with Cedric or Florian. A classic look with a gentle sound. As a feminine name it has a more modern and spunky vibe. I compare it with Harper or Kylie.I prefer Leslie as masculine name but I like it anyway.

In my opinion, I love the name if it's used for a male, but I've never actually met any man with the name before. I've met females with it, and it seems to be a somewhat common female name here in the US.

It's always a male name where I live; the female equivalent is Lesley, and for a few years it was frequently teamed up with Ann or Anne to make Lesley-Anne.I knew a British family where the father's name was Leslie. His son Stephen had Leslie as his mn, and his daughter Janice had the mn Lesley. Their mother was Gladys, which didn't feature anywhere.I prefer Leslie and only like it on a boy. But I don't like it enough to use.

Male or female? It's not a fav of mine either way. Leslie (m) makes me think of Leslie Nielsen and I find him a bit annoying. Leslie (f) doesn't have this so much for me. Maybe bc I used to know a female Lesley..
