I love it, I also love Sophia but would much rather use Sophronia because of how popular Sophia is.

I have an ancestor named Sophronia! I think she was somewhere on my maternal grandmother's side. She apparently went by her middle name, which was something less remarkable (I want to say it was Jane, although I could be mistaken). It's a bit much for a name, but hey, that's my favorite kind. It also makes me think of the word "symphony". I honestly hadn't realized the possibility of Sophie or Sophia as nicknames until I read the other responses. That dampens my opinion of it a little, since I'm not fond of either.

Sophie is a possible nickname, but there are lots of alternatives including Ronnie, Nia, and my personal favorite, Ria.

Sophronia is beautiful and has a fun neo-Victorian flair.

I love Sophronia, but I pronounce the first vowel as a schwa (roughly "suh").

I pronounce them both very similarly, and I think both are lovely :)

Its cute, a way to get the nn Sophie without the annoyingly popular Sophia. I pronounce it with a slight change: Soh-FROH-nee-uh.
