Lee
What do you think of the name Lee? (M)Also what is your opinion on the name Leroy? I’ve loved the name Lee for years and never seem to get bored of it. Which is unusual for me.

I like the spelling Lee for a boy! Leroy has two nickname potentials: Lee and Roy, of which Lee sounds less dated.

I hate Lee; he's like Jay's evil twin. Leo is so much better.Leroy makes me think of overalls and my friend's dog and another friend's toddler. It's somewhere between Elroy and Levi.

I've got a step-nephew named Lee who is a distinguished conservationist, very interesting and a delightful guy. But not even he can warm me up to the name. Perhaps that's because my first contact with it was as a female name with the spelling Leigh. And that, I like. No logic, just powerful feelings.Leroy doesn't happen where I live. I'm glad about that: I really cannot find anything to like about it. I do like Roy, when it isn't tacked on to Lee, but the blend is undistinguished.

It's a very solid and classic name but definitely overused, especially in the middle name slot. Though still a nice name in general. As for 'Leroy' I really like it and even have a soft spot for it as it was the middle name of my maternal grandfather. (:
