Suggest a name redux!
This was fun last time so let's try it again....Is there a name that you really, really think deserves to be in this site's database and you can't believe it's been overlooked? Post it here and I'll check it out for the next name update (coming soon). You can also suggest a user-submitted name that you think needs to be moved into the main repository. For the purposes of this thread please stick to one suggestion each.

SonicActually, I think I'd like for Sonic to be added to main database instead; Céfiro can wait. Here's the link to Sonic: https://www.behindthename.com/name/sonic/submitted

Wow, what a beauty! Justice for Lady Wulfruna!

Neptunineor if that's too obscure, Illuminata

YES to Illuminata!

Idalia - it's in the submitted name database, and most of the information seams reputable, save perhaps the usage, but I know it's definitely used semi regularly in Poland, where it's pronounced ee-DAL-ya.

DalidaDalida is the form of Delilah used in the Septuagint, the earliest Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible. It has been used as a given name all across Europe, especially in Slavic countries.

I'd love to see Maximón added. I've put it in the submitted names a while ago. Mayan Mythology names have a grand total of 3 names so far in the database, so I think at the very least it deserves attention for diversification purposes. (and I like it :D)

Nilaswhich also happens to be my son's middle name. Can also be spelled Niilas

Maélie. It is currently #44 in Québec (137 births in 2018).

I see it on this list, but it looks like the listed names are stripped of accents. Do you know whether it's spelled Maélie or Maëlie (as is more common in France).https://www.retraitequebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/services-en-ligne-outils/banque-de-prenoms/Pages/recherche_par_popularite.aspx?AnRefBp=2018&NbPre=100&ChAff=PPMP&NbPrePag=100

Hmm... Could I ask that you suggest another name with a bit more usage behind it? This name doesn't show up on any of the SSA data for the U.S. (meaning it has never been used more than 5 times in a given year, making it ultra-rare). I could be wrong but I don't see it used much elsewhere either.

I'll suggest Rhodopis because I just used it in a post and discovered it wasn't in the database!

MennaIt's Ethiopian. I don't know anything else about it but there's definitely multiple Ethiopian Mennas out there so I don't think my friend's parents made it up.

I haven't found any information about it as an Ethiopian name, but it's definitely a common Egyptian Arabic name so I'll add that. There are a number of Welsh bearers too..

Color me surprised...I guess I'd never looked it up before, but I'm shocked that this actually isn't in the database!

That's it! I knew there was a name, an established name, that I was surprised wasn't in the database, but when Mike asked before and this time, I just couldn't remember what it was. It was Calpurnia.

Can you tell me something about it? It doesn't chart at all in the U.S. (meaning it was given to less than 5 babies in every year since 1880) so I couldn't justify adding it as an English or American name.
