Damn the coworker who ruined the name for me. I don't really like the name anyway, though. I think it would appeal to me more as a feminine name - the -rl ending is kind of "pretty," to me.
I like Carlo and Carlos more. Even Cary.

I was surprised when friends named their son Carl in 1981, as it seemed dated by that time. I don't see the appeal. There are worse names, but many that are much much better IMO.

I like it. For some reason, I prefer the look of Karl. It just looks more youthful to me, and I have no idea why.

I can't say I do - my feelings are practically the same as for Carl, and I only know one Karol under 60.
