Joy Lillian
I’m beginning to love this combo for a baby girl someday. Our oldest is Samuel (Sam). Do you think Joy sound good with Sam? Also what do you think of Joy as a first name? Lillian is my Mother law so it would need to be the middle name. Thanks!

I like Joy and Sam together. Simple, uncomplicated. Joy Lillian is a pretty combo.

Joy isn't a bad name, but it feels dated, especially when paired with Lillian.

I’m neutral to Joy as well as Lillian. It’s a very refreshing combo, though, even if I think Lillian Joy would flow better.

I really like it! I love Joy as a first name, it's honestly underappreciated. Lillian is absolutely beautiful and together they're a very elegant combo. I think it's also a very nice sibset with Sam.

I think Lillian Joy flows better than Joy Lillian, but yeah if it's the same name as your mother in law you wouldn't want it to be first.
Joy sounds cute, a little old fashioned but still short and bouncy. It's not my style but I wouldn't be disappointed to meet a young Joy. Although it might be awkward sometimes, since she'd be a real human and real humans are never happy/joyful all the time, whenever she was in a bad mood people might make annoying comments about her name?

I think it's nice, goes well with Samuel. I know a family with a Samuel and Joy

I think Joy is a really nice name, and underused as a fn. I would think that it would be much more popular, like Grace and Faith are now.
Joy Lillian is okay.

I don't like the rhythm of Joy Lillian. Might you consider giving her a second middle name? Joy Elise Lillian? Joy Annette Lillian?
Or, what is your own mother's name- would it work to break that sequence of stressed syllables? I think Joy goes well with just about any name! I would use it without hesitation.

My Mom’s name is one syllable as well. Her middle name is Leah and wouldn’t pair nicely with Lillian either...

What about Leah as the first name? I like Sam and Leah together. I don't really like the double L thing in Leah Lillian though, maybe Leah Jillian? (Or do you want to use your mother in law's name exactly as it is, not just something that sounds similar?)

Thank you, Leah is pretty but it’s not for me;)

I think Joy and Sam sound nice as siblings. Joy is a simple but beautiful and I enjoy Lillian as a middle name. Joy Lillian is a lovely combo!
