Dara (f)
What do you think of Dara for a girl? I prefer the pronunciation Dahr-uh, rhyming with car. Please rate it out of 10. Any thoughts would be appreciated as well.Do you prefer the Dar-uh or Dare-uh pronunciation?Combos welcome as always. :)_________________

I generally prefer Dar-uh as masculine. As feminine, it reminds me of Tara, which is okay, though seems a bit dated in the US.
I knew a girl Dara in the 90s, and it seemed awkward to me then, not sure why.

I like it fine. 6/10. I am a big K-Pop fan, and my favorite girl group 2NE1, has a member named Dara, short for Sandara, which I find beautiful. I like Dara short for Adara too.I prefer to say Dahr-uh.

Sandara is pretty. It reminds me of Sundara, which I also like.

I find it ugly and a bit oafish, I'm afraid. I strongly prefer Daria and Dora.

I like it a lot. It's simple and striking. 8
I slightly prefer the pronunciation like car, but it's also nice as dare-uh (a little more dramatic I guess).

10/10, very beautiful name.

I prefer it on a boy. 9/10 on a boy, maybe 2/10 on a girl. I pronounce it the Irish way, which (at least in my family's accent) says the first syllable like the a in apple.
