HelpHelp me name a bunch of characters!
This next project is going to be pretty hard for me (I'm bad with names) since I'm writing a mystery set in a small town with a huge cast of characters. I'd like everyone to have distinctive names, without being too out there. Example: my main characters are twin brother and sister Lily and Silas Sweet.
What I need slightly more specifically:
-- their grandmother [a witchy, old-fashioned name]
-- their parents [ordinary 70s era names]
-- female friend of Lily [really average]
-- male friend of Silas [also really average]
What I'd like generally:
-- 2-3 cop names + the sheriff
-- 2-3 old-fashioned names (Grandmother's friends)
-- and as many fun odd small-town names as you'd like to make. Local waitress, grocery store clerk, the dog catcher, a real estate agent, all that stuff.
