Cora
I actually really like Kore, but people think it's too hard to pronounce. So what do you think of Cora? I like the Persephone link, even if it is a bit more indirect.

Oooh, Cora is SO pretty. I’m also very fond of Kore but I’m afraid people would mispronounce is as Core, which is pretty much unbearable, lol.

I like it! Korra is a nice spelling too but I vastly prefer Cora. Has a nice sound, is short and sweet, and is easy to pronounce.I’ve only ever met one Cora irl, but she was very nice. Quiet, but sweet.

It makes me think of the fungus, but other than that, I like it. It's warm and friendly.

I love the name, I think it's beautiful. I like the Kore spelling too, but I think it would really only work in an area with a large Greek population, like where I grew up. A fair few Coras and Kores in my hometown cause of it. I have some Coras in my family as well. My sister was heavily considering this name for her daughter but ultimately went with Cordelia (which I love as well) with the intention of Cora as a nn... but six years on her nn is now Cordy, to my sister's chagrin lol

I like Cora as a stand-alone name, but I love it even more as a nn for Cordelia! I also love the nn Cordy, as well.

I like Cora but admittedly, I prefer Korra (which was based on the name Cora). I wouldn't initially know how to pronounce Kore without this context

I like Cora, it's very cute and melodious, but I like Kora more because of the way it's written.
