Pegeen
Pegeen is the anglicised version of Pegein (there should be acute above the second i).It’s an Irish Gaelic given name meaning Little Margaret WDYT?

I am sorry, but the first thing I thought of was a pig for some reason.I think it would make an excellent name for a pig.For a girl, not so much. "peg" just isn't an attractive sound. I also dislike Peg and Peggy. And the dated -een doesn't really improve things.

Nothing about this sounds pleasant to my ear at all, and it definitely doesn’t feel pleasant to say it.

I fail to see how somebody can like this name.

Cute even though -een/-ine endings are "out" right now.

I don't enjoy the -een ending, but Pegeen seems much fresher and more interesting than Maureen.
