I actually think it's very pretty, I would absolutely use it as a MN and wouldn't rule it out as a FN (apart from my partner probably wouldn't be a fan as he likes very simple, practical names :( and my love of frills doesn't gel). I like Sapphire in a GP way, but I like Sapphira way more because that a at the end makes it just that little bit more name-y.

One of my favorite names. I’m really surprised how underused it is.

It's veeery lovely and it should be more common - one of my favourite gem names. But I like Sapphire more since it's the traditional form.Sadly, I won't be able to use Sapphire on a girl since it's too foreign here, however, I can always count on Zafira, which looks like it's derived from the Spanish word for sapphire - zafiro!

I like it, wouldn’t mind it being used more.

There are a lot of gem names that I like. Sadly, this one isn't on that list :( It sounds too made up.

Then try Sapphire, which is the original form! :)

I secretly love this blue gem... name. :)
And I know, that I can't really use it, because it's too unusual in my area, but still like it, especially Safira /sa-FEE-ra/ spelling.
So, dear Safira or Sapphira, we can't be together, but I will never forget you, I promise!
