Andrea
Andrea is a name that I've always liked for a girl. It seems so cheerful and happy, but not too bright. I prefer the English pronunciation, "Ann-dree-uh". As, that's the pronunciation that I've always heard. "Awn-dray-uh" seems interesting, as well."You're a firework. Show your obstacles your brightest colors."-MeRate my name lists too!

I think Andrea is underrated. I prefer the "ann-dree-uh" pronunciation. I had never really thought about it until I worked with a wonderful lady named Andrea. Very classic yet totally usable in modern times.

I prefer Andrea for a girl to Andrew for a boy. In Italian, Andrea does not sound like the English female version of Andrew: I like the Italian sound, but it wouldn't work outside an Italian environment. And I don't like Andrea (f) nearly enough to consider using it: it's OK, but very many names seem better to me.

I love this name for girls! I like Awn-dray-uh more, but An-dree-uh is also very pretty. I also like it on guys, but it wouldn't work in an English repealing country, as its strictly feminine there. So I prefe Andreas for boys.If its pronounced An-dree-uh, I'd spell it Andria. I think it looks cuter and will clear up pronunciation confusion for some people. Andrea is a great name!

Hi !!!Andrea is extremely overused for boys here in Italy. It is one of the few Italian unisex names so in my opinion has becoming boring for girls too. I much prefer the forms Andreia, Andreea and Andressa.

I once had two people in a class and each pronounced it differently in those two days, I liked both but the Awn pron more. Not as common.
