Ran across a book recently by an author named Kat Chow. (Apparently her real name; she is or was an NPR reporter.)
For those not in the US, Cat Chow is a brand of cat food made by Purina. They also make Puppy Chow, Kitten Chow, etc.

Well...she chose it for herself. And she likes it.
At least it's not spelled like Cat. But I'd go by Kit, Kathy or Cassie. Kit Chow isn't much better, but I really like the name Kit.

If she wants to be noticed and talked about, she's on to a winner. And presumably if she doesn't, she'd have changed it by now to something invisible like Olivia Smith.
