Which name do you prefer; Asher or Riley, and why? What are your opinions on both names and do you prefer the combo Riley Asher or Asher Riley? Thanks

Asher is a great name with lots of history and substance, so I’m all for that one. The problem is the Rs run together when you pair it with Riley. I’m not a fan of Riley as a fn. It sounds a bit whiny and juvenile, and it’s starting to sound dated.

Asher over Riley; I like the old fashioned vibe. But, it really depends on the last name. If the last name were Riley, I would not pick a first name ending in "r" because it would sound like Asheriley. So, Riley Asher over Asher Riley for your second question.

AsherRiley is gross and slimy while Asher is dignified and austere, but with a very cheery meaning. Riley Asher > Asher Riley
