I know someone named Kathleen and I don't like her. She's ruined the name for me, which is sad. I used to love Kathleen. My mother-in-law is Kathleen nickname Kathy. I quite like Kathy, I think it's my favorite nickname for Catherine/Kathleen now. It wouldn't surprise me if Kathy became the new nickname for Katherine - Katie and Kate have had their day now.

I don't dislike it, but it's not a name I ever think about.

I like it, it’s my favorite spelling of this name. Prefer it to Caitlin.

Kathleen and Justine are probably the only -ine or -een names I like. One good thing about Kathleen is that, unlike Catherine etc, it often doesn't shorten at all and if it does, it becomes Kathy, not the over-used Kate. I know a Tessa Kathleen, which I think is very pretty.

I much prefer Katherine (or one of its related variants) but Kathleen is fine, personally. A bit more dated, I think, but rather nice. The "th" and "l" sounds, one after another, have never really sat well on my tongue.

I think it's so much prettier than Katherine. I especially like it for a mn. If we had a daughter today, if there were no objections her name would be Brianna Kathleen.

I like it too. It's unique and it has charm.
