I love the name Jemima, I think it's so pretty. I also love the name Gemma. I think Jem would make a better nn for Jemima.

I LOVE it. I don't recommend it in the U.S., though, because of the Aunt Jemima association, unfortunately. :( I love Gemma on its own, actually. I would probably use Jemma for Jemima, though, or no nn at all.

I love Jemima! It my second favorite name (or favorite name, as it's really at a tie with another I love). I'd use it in a heart beat, and I think Jem's a cute nn.I used to hate it because of Aunt Jemima, the pancake syrup, but I've gotten over that. Now I associate it with the cute little girl in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Gemma's all right, but I don't really care for it.
