I enjoy both names, though I'm more partial to the feminine Noelle than the masculine Noel if only because a lot of people pronounce Noel as one syllable: NOHL. And to me, that sounds terrible - like "grassy knoll" or Gnolls from D&D. It's NO-uhl. There's a schwa, and it's important. :-PNoelle is very pretty to my ears, though I'd more likely use it as a middle name.

I like Noel. Where I live, Noelle is regularly pronounced noEL, like No, WELL. My friend's brother married a woman named Noel, and that pleases me. One of the very few names that I find acceptable for both m and f usage.

I like Noel (Noël) for a boy and Noelle (Noëlle) for a girl and I would consider it. More so as a middle name which I know is a bit basic but it’s a fine name. Natalie as well which I find pretty.

I love the sound of them, but the Christmas meaning puts me off when it comes to actually using them.
