While Holly is cute, Caitlin, especially spelled properly, is classic and preferred.

Holly, the plant, doesn't happen where I live, so to me Holly is just another addition to the rhyming list of Dolly, Molly, Olly, Polly ... give me Caitlin any day,

Holly without a doubt. I have always liked this name, ever since I was a kid. Caitlin sounds dated to me, but Holly seems timeless.

I love Holly. Caitlin is nice but it is prone to misspelling.

I like both, prefer Katelyn. I'd pick Katelyn

I'm partial to Holly since it's very similar to both my mother's name and her twin sister's. Also, I've always just enjoyed the way it sounds, despite having zero personal experiences with it that are all that grand. Holly is probably my second favorite girl's name starting with the letter 'H', right after Hallie.
I grew up when the Katelyn trend was pretty much in full bloom, so I'm sort of over it. It also doesn't help that the experiences that I had with the name were horrendous. Never cared for any of them (and for good reasons too), except from this one girl who spelled her name either Kaitlin/Kaitlyn. Forget which one, but she was incredibly sweet.
I wholeheartedly dislike any of the 'C' spellings. The name just naturally looks better with a 'K', in my mind. Katelyn, followed by Kaitlyn.

Holly. I have always liked it. I like Caitlin, too, but it needs a long rest.

I dislike both, but Holly is gentler than Caitlin, so I prefer Holly.

They're both a bit tired in my opinion but if I had to pick one I would say Holly
