My ranking:#1) Laura-- huge gap --#2) Loretta
#3) Lauren-- smaller gap --#4) Lori
Laura is the only one of this group I like. Lauren is overused to the point of ugliness to me. Loretta is fine, but I can't imagine using it on a human anymore. Lori has always struck my as rather ugly, and the Laurie spelling is not better.

Loretta is the best, love that one. Then Laura, Lauren, and lastly Lori. I do like Lori's retro charm but it's hard for me to fully appreciate it, because I know someone with this name.

Laura, Lauren, Lori, Loretta. Same order as in the subject line :P Laura is the most sweet and timeless, Lauren is a bit dated but I like the sound and the name feels very capable. I put Loretta last because it stood out the most to me as a dated name I would never want to use, but Lori as a full name is also pretty dated. I just put Lori before Loretta because it could be short for some other names. I also like Laurian, Lorien, Laurana, and Laurel.

I strongly prefer Laura and would use it without hesitation IRL.
Lauren is dated where I live; I don't enjoy it or Loren.
Loretta, are you better, are you well-well-well? Conversely, Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman but she was another man. Good songs, not a good name otherwise.
Lori is babyish in sound and appearance.

LoriI don't like the way the O looks. Lauretta is nice though, and might be more interesting than Lauren.

Lauren: I think it sounds cute, one of my favourite girl names!
Lori: sweet as a nickname, I like the shorter first syllable in Lauren, Lori and Loretta as opposed to the longer one in Laura (however this may just be my pronunciation).
Laura: still a nice name, just not really appealing to me.
Loretta: I like a lot of Etta names, but the Rett sound just sounds harsh to me.

Lauren: Very stylish, well on its way to becoming a classic. Makes a nice mn too.
Laura: A classic, but still feels youthful.
Lori: Cute, in a seventies cheerleader kind of way.
Loretta: Elderly hillbilly name. I don't like etta names.
