HelpRe: What are some names you hate that everyone seems to love and some names you love that everyone seems to hate?

Dislike : Madison. I don't understand the hype. Maddie/Maddy is cute - however, I'd rather use Madeline to get to "Mads", "Mad", "Maddy". Addison is another one - I'd rather use Adelaide or Adeline to get to "Addy" or "Addie". Madeline, Adelaide and Adeline are much prettier names, in my opinion.
Like : I do love Edith nn Edie... Edith is perhaps considered dated? Also, Jethro. Jethro nn Jeth seems cool, offbeat and fresh to me, and too bonafide country for others.
