I really like Fern. Laurel not so much. Fern is sweet.

Laurel is alright, though not a fave. Fern I love though! It’s so sweet, approachable, friendly and homely. It’s a sweet country girl name.

Both names are okay. I have known girls with both names and it definitely takes a certain type of person to successfully carry the names off.

Laura, yes; Laurel, no. Fern, only as a nn for Fernanda, which I would avoid because of a bad associaion with a Fernando.

Fern is okay, not crazy about Laurel

I love Fern, it's so eccentric yet homey. Laurel is beautiful and classy, not really my thing! I like it much more than Lauren.

I would agree they're just okay. I definitely prefer Laura over Laurel.

I like plant names but these don't sound pretty.

I think they're both pretty. I like Laurel a lot, and I think Fern would be good as a middle name. It has a similar vibe to Sage and Wren to me.

Both are lovely. Coincidentally, my high school best friend has one cousin named Laurel and another cousin who named her daughter Fern Elodie.
