Cassius/Cassian

I like both with the pronunciation Cass-ee-an and Cass-ee-us.
I like both with the “Cass” pronunciation. I don’t hate the “Cash” pronunciation but I wouldn’t use it for either name myself.
I've never thought about the "Cash" pronunciation. Personally, I'm not sure I like it.
Yeah, I definitely prefer Cass-i-(whatever third syllable).
I feel the same way about Lucian and Lucius.

LOL yes, Somersault is not on my list of favorites!
The only negative connotation of Cassius is Julius Caesar. He convinced Brutus to kill Caesar.

At the rate history is being erased, I doubt many people will ever make that association.
How sad. I hope Shakespeare will live on in cultural literacy.
Cassian could attract some interesting mispronunciations. Cassius points back to Cassius Clay, who changed his name when he changed his religion: fair enough, but Cassius Clay is far more interesting than Muhammed Ali.
My sister is a Cassandra so I like the nn Cass, which has always felt unisex to me. I got used to it more from watching Supernatural, where there was a character called Castiel, who went by Cass.
I think I prefer Cassius over Cassian, but for male Cass names I actually prefer Casper :)
There's quite a few male Cas* names, which I think is cool! https://www.behindthename.com/names/gender/masculine/pattern/cas*
