Vasileios
Met a guy named this during the weekend. I think he was in his fifties. Highly unusual for where I live. I'm fairly fond of the English form, Basil, and I'm intrigued by Vasileios, although it's a bit formal for my taste. Certainly cool to see, though. Looking over some other related names, I found a few other forms that I like: Vasile, Vasya, Vaska, Vasilka and Vasilica. Do y'all have any thoughts? Any forms you like?

I like it, it's elegant, but I think it needs a nickname, perhaps Vaz? Or Vasil?Other forms I like: Basilio, Vasyl, Wasyl, Vasilica, Vaska, Vasylyna, Wasylyna, Vassiliki, Basilia, Basilea and two favourite forms: Basilissa and Wassilissa.
Can't say I'm a fan. This is just from an English perspective: no idea if it's popular or not, dated or not, whatever, in Greek. I knew a girl who was always called Vessie; I think her name was Vasiliki but I'm not sure. I am sure that I didn't like Vessie: I actually prefer Bessie, though I don't like it either.
Favourite form is VasylI also like Vasiliy, Vasiliki, Vasil, Vasile, Wasyl, Vasylyna, VasilisaFor diminutives I like Vasya, Vasko, Vaso, Vasilka
I like Vasily. It's a little less complicated.
