It's OK. Almost everyone in the USA would pronounce this as "Shy", not "Shay", though, and I think "Shy Anne" is a somewhat unfortunate connotation here.
I am also very old and so always first think of this as a male name because of the 1955-1962 television Western "Cheyenne", whose male hero was called Cheyenne Bodie. I realize the huge majority of real life Americans with this name are female. I don't think I've ever met one in person though I do know a Cheyenna.
