Lorrane
Lorrane was a name seen on a poster for those who wish to improve their reading and writing skills. Personally I am not a big fan and I think it will get confused with Lorraine too much. WDYT?
From a tv programme I was watching
Emani
Faiza
Anjli
Amber
Kwame
Zebb
Chu
From work - all toddlers
Tarquin
Peter
Edric so excited to find this one in the wild

I prefer Lorraine but Lorrane looks incomplete without I in my opinion.
If I saw Lorrane, I'd assume it was a variant or error for Lorraine. Which I like, but not enough to use. There was a provincial-level cricketer in the Western Cape in I think the 1960s, when the competitive game was all-male: his name was Lorraine but he went by Lorrie. Some family member, perhaps his father, had fought in France and specifically in Lorraine, so that was the reason for his name.
Anjli looks and sounds like a nn for Angela: Angelie, Angely, Anjli ... . Amber surprised me when I read a novel set and I think written in the 1920s where the heroine's name was Amber; other characters, behind her back, thought it was pretentious! Kwame looks Ghanaian: did he? Tarquin and Edric are certainly interesting, but I'm happiest to see Peter: a very young sharer of my adult son's name!

All it says on the actor who played Kwame is that he is British born. His given name is Chukwuma Omambala. Chukwuma is credited as Chu. Chukwuma is Igbo so if I remember correctly Nigeria, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. I have a friend whose son in law speaks Igbo as well as English so I’m hoping I got the general area correct.
