Appoline- much prefer Pauline
Bridget- excellent, timeless, fun!
Carole - awful - dated and drab; the -e adds nothing; Carol is better, but not good; Caroline is great
Dorcas- quite pleasant; prefer Tabitha
Eglantine - awful: where I live it's an invasive alien plant which causes a lot of trouble
Franka - nonsense: what's so wrong with Frances, or Francine?
Giselle - balletic; prefer Gisele
Hyacinth - sounds like someone greeting Cynthia
Iselle - contracted form of Isabelle, perhaps? Far prefer less complicated Isobel or Isabel

Then by all means ask a Croatian what they think of Franka.
What do you mean
It seems obvious to me that opinions must be based on information if they are to be at all interesting and useful, so Croatians could make a worthwhile contribution but I could not.
