I liked Florence for a long time before Flora really came into my thoughts. But, I've grown out of loving Florence as much as I used to. In general, I've become less and less interested in names that are tied to places. For example, also Ravenna. I used to like Ravenna before I realized, like Florence, it's a city in Italy.
So, I prefer Flora now, and I associate the name with the Roman goddess of spring and flowers, which I like better.
