Jessie
What do you think of Jessie as a given name for a girl? Not as a nickname for Jessica but just Jessie. I don’t like it. I don’t like many nicknames as given names except for Kate and Katie.

I see its appeal, but I don't like it as a name on its own, only as a nickname for Jessica. I like its sound.
I like it, but I tend it to like spelled Jesse and for a boy only, but I'm not 100% committed to that either.
Jessie is a nickname while Jesse is a standalone name.Jess could be a good option for any gender too.

I like Jesse for a boy, but I'm not really a fan of nicknames as full names.
Nope. This seems to have been a popular name once upon a time, but it just doesn't work for me.Nicknames as given names don't work for me, period. But this one in particular, I don't care for. I don't care for it much as a nickname for Jessica, either.I do love Jesse on a boy.
I've always loved it, and thought it sounded feminine and pretty- if my brother's middle name weren't Jesse (after my grandfather), I'd use plain Jessie on a daughter 😆. Though, I've always been in love with the name Jessica for a girl!

I like it! I think it's an underrated, girl next door type of name.
I always prefer the full name: a Jessica can always choose to be Jessie or Jess, but Jessie (or Jess) is stuck without any options.
Funnily enough, my first name is Jessica-Kate! Growing up in the 90s with a bazillion other Jessicas, I was glad that my name was a little different. That said, I actually would prefer it if my name was different because it was "Jessie". Let me explain: 1. Hyphens in names are super annoying, not everyone understands the concept and some digital forms refuse to recognise hyphens at all. 2. On top of the popularity, Jessica has the sound "sick" in it. 3. I actually really like the NN "Jessie", I grew up as "Jessie". As an adult, however, it feels weird to introduce myself as "Jessie" so I'm just "Jess" like every other Jessica. If my name was Jessie this would be a different story.Anyway, the point of my rant is that I love the idea of Jessie as a full name on a girl.

I like Jessie. It seems vintage but also modern. Warm and friendly. Tomboyish. I prefer it to Jessica, which is too 80s for me.I have a (female) friend whose middle name is just Jessie. I think it's an honoring name.
I like Jessica better, Jessie seems to much like Jesse.
I like it. It's very pioneer-cowboy chic. I know Jessie was a popular name among frontier women; and I don't think they were Jessicas. I wonder if it was inspired by the male biblical character, Jesse?
Prefer Jesse.
I new a Jessie a long time ago (just Jessie, not short for Jessica). She’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met so the name gives me very sweet/ down to earth vibes. I think it’s one of the few nick names I like as a standalone name. I also like Jesse for a boy.
I don't like it even a a nn for Jesica.
I do like Jesse for a boy.
