Our son is also named Karac - almost, but not quite unique!
The name is an abrieviated form of Caradoc who was a resistance fighter for the Britons against the Romans. The Romanised form of the name is Caractacus or sometimes Caratacus.

I don't know where Robert Plant got the name, but it is a last name of Serbian origin; as I found it listed on dogpile.com as from Serbia.
