How do you pronounce the girlsname Isola and what is it's origin?

I've heard it pronounced two ways. :o

I've heard it pronounced "Eye-soh-lah" and "Ih-soh-la"

Isola is Italian for "island" or "isle". Not sure how often it's used as a first name in that language, tho.
