My parents named me after visiting the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem but i don't know what it means.
Could anybody be kind enought to tell me what it means.

Hi!my name is also Aqsa,although i don't know why my parents named me so.I have searched the net 2 find my name's meaning but could'nt find a satisfactory answer.Maybe somebody told u it's meaning.Could u be kind enough 2 mail me the correct meaning if u have found 1 other than "the far away mosque" or "all that is within the walls."

To my knowledge

"Al Aqsa" means "the edge" or "the end".
In the Koran, it is said that Muhamad came to "the city at the edge" (something like this). Later, poeple interpreted this as Jerusalem.
