My last name is Day, is it too corny to name a girl Summer? Any other suggestions for boy or girl.

Of course, there's always Holly.Why not just go classic with Bridget or Jane or Helen? Should be pretty jokeproof.

Yes, I think Summer Day is corny. It looks as if you planned it that way and will cause endless teasing for your daughter. What type of names do you like? If you truly love Summer, use it as her middle name.

Or maybe just try an other name with the meaning "summer", like:Suvi (= Finnish name) and Theresa. Or otherwise you can just translate the English word 'summer' into an other language... For example, "summer" is in German "sommer", so maybe you could make it Sommer Day instead of Summer Day....It's just an idea.Regards,Lu
