I am thinking of naming my next daughter Farin, but I cant seem to find anything on the name such as origin, meaning etc. Can anyone help me.

The spelling shown on the site is "farrin". It means glorified.

Try the spellings Farran, Farren in a good surname book...

A friend's younger sister is called Farran, so I looked it up for her years ago - the best guess is that it is a medieval form of Ferdinand, which you should be able to find in the database here.
