Clea
What does the name Clea mean? It's a girl's name, and I'd assume that it has the same roots as Cleo, but I'm not sure. It's not very common; the only Clea I can think of is Clea DuVall, who's an actress. She played Beatrice in 13 Conversations About One Thing. Anyway, if someone could help me, I'd appreciate it. ^_^

Indeed, it is derived from the Greek 'kleos' meaning "glory"
In Lawrence Durrell's Alexandria Quartet there's a character called Clea - gives her name to the final book. An artist, who loses her hand in an accident but learns to paint with the prosthesis! A friend of mine named her elder daughter Clea after the character, but she might as well not have bothered as everyone has always called the poor girl Clare.
